Kailey Kruis, MA, LPCA, NCC

Kailey Kruis is the Lead Counselor at Nautical Counseling. 

Kailey received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Salve Regina University in 2020 and her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2023. Kailey Kruis is a South Carolina Licensed Professional Counselor Associate or LPC-A. The LPC-A credential is reserved for counselors who are earning the state of South Carolina’s required postgraduate hours of supervision. This means Kailey discusses treatment plans and potential diagnoses with her state approved South Carolina Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor, Dr. Jenais Y. Means.

Theoretical Orientation and Counseling Techniques: Kailey Kruis uses Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; she listens for the client’s desires within the counseling setting in order to assist the client in identifying and reaching their goals. Kailey believes that each person is an individual and requires an individualized counseling approach. She places special emphasis on mindfulness and recognizing one’s values. Kailey’s goal is to help clients recognize and identify a version of themselves they are proud of.
